Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
